A friday lunch date at Clover.

Almost every Friday Cowboy and I go out to lunch.  Since our schedules tend to be somewhat opposite during the week, it's a fun time to catch up and get excited about our plans for the weekend.   Plus, going out to lunch usually is a lot cheaper than dinner!

While we often go the same favorite spots around town, we are beginning to try new (to us) restaurants when we can.  When we do, I'll be sure to blog about them so if you ever find yourself in Spokane you'll have an idea of where to get some good food!

Last Friday we went to Clover.  And I want to go again this Friday.  Seriously. The food was so good. The restaurant is in an old house that has been beautifully restored.  A well designed (and equipped) bar is downstairs, and there is seating available upstairs and outside (when it's not snowing) as well.

We were tempted to try one of their delicious cocktails, but Cowboy had to work that evening so we went with one of their non-alcoholic options instead...a refreshing mint, ginger & lime concoction.

For an appetizer, we enjoyed the shrimp and polenta.

And for our main course we split the lamb burger and tomato bisque.

Since our bellies were happily full, we didn't order a dessert.  But I guess that gives me an excuse to go back sooner than later!

How about you?  Do you have a special date day with your honey?  Do you prefer going out to lunch or to dinner?

Love,
Betty

Wow, I've never heard of this place. I lived in Spokane for about ten years and my parents still live ther (with a bunch of my siblings). I'm going to have to go here next time I'm in town. :-)
